FALL PORCH DECORATING

Okay friends, I am not going to lie, this one was actually kind of a hard one for me.  Those of you who know me, know I am not much of a seasonal decorator.  Outside of Christmas, I really don’t necessarily get in to the season.  I am however, super fascinated and envious of those of you who are really good at it and switch it up seasonally.  Because I am not one for a theme at all, I challenged myself to find a round-up of sophisticated fall porches to share with you, along with some of my favorite porch products that we use at our clients homes.  It was harder than I thought it was going to be because I am so picky about it not being too over the top, country or kitschy.   Here if my best shot, I think these are all pretty dope!

Guys, I can’t even!  How freaking amazing are these pumpkins with house numbers carved into them.  I love that this look says fall without SCREAMING fall.

Both of the porches above are from Lucy at Craftberry Bush, the top one was last years porch and the bottom one is this years porch.  Needless to say I am obsessed with both.  I love that she used kale and cabbages in both her looks.  It definitely adds some texture and an unexpected pop.  Also, can we talk about those green pumpkins.  I am not a huge orange lover so I love when people choose non-traditional pumpkin colors!

Speaking of non-traditional pumpkin colors, please give me all the white pumpkins!  I don’t know why but I am super obsessed with that little brown velvet bow tied on the stem of the pumpkin.  I love little added details like that that really bring a space together.

Guys, I can not even get over the contrast of the black and white in this space.  For reals, it is so awesome!  I also am loving the use of a monochromatic color palette of the variations of tans/browns.  So chic!

Is this not the best idea ever?  Someone please come to my house and paint the state of California on a pumpkin for me.  They have painted the pumpkins white and green in this porch and I love that.  If you don’t have access to multi-colored pumpkins like my friends above, don’t fret, just paint them!

I could literally die over those little yellow galoshes.  What a sweet, unexpected touch.  I am also loving the variety of pumpkins…especially the unusually shaped ones.  I like them a little wonky, it gives them character.

I love, love, love the use of those magenta mums in this one combined with the gray-green pumpkins.  Perfection.  If I was doing this look in my home, I would probably loose the corn stalks though.  They are just a little bit too country looking for my taste.

Love, love, love these pumpkin topiaries.  How cute are they?  And again with the gray-green pumpkins and kale.  I mean, c’mon people!
