WALMART HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS

I know Halloween is happening this week, but I can’t help but get excited for hosting this season. Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it and it’s time to get guest ready with Walmart holiday essentials!

I thought it would be fun to share one of our family’s favorite holiday traditions – a yummy, festive charcuterie board! I snagged this marble serving tray to use as the base. You can layer serving trays and pretty cutting boards to allow for more food. The marble and gold tray also comes in this rectangle option.

I also got these napkins from Walmart’s rustic luxe holiday section and love the neutral, subtle holiday vibe they give. I was super excited to find this gray matte dinnerware set – I got 2 sets so that I’d have 8 bowls and plates for when guests come over. Check out their hosting items online – there are so many great finds and a great value.

Once you have your base (or whatever you want to put your food one), start with the meats you want. We like salami and turkey. Sausage is another great option. We then add in our variety of fruits – grapes, blackberries, apples, raspberries and we also like strawberries. Next, add in your nuts, crackers and chocolate. On this board we did candied walnuts and chocolate covered almonds. Chocolate pretzels for the kiddos is a fun addition. Lastly, don’t forget your jams and dips. We did a caramel for the fruit on this one, but often add jellies, fig spread, hummus and honey.
